ExIS Exhibition Information System
If you‘re like us, you‘ve travelled quite a bit and visited many events, conventions, exhibitions and trade shows.
If the locale is somewhere in the world and new to you, the questions before deciding to go are „Will the trip be worth it?“, „How do I get there?“, „Where can I stay, eat or meet?“ And even as a local you would like to know how to access the venue, park your car, and in what section of the event the exhibits will interest you most.
To answer these questions and a few more, ICON created the ExIS Exhibition Information System for the MICE industry with Hot Maps and Kartographie Huber.

It consists of very easy to use interactive maps on the www, combined with an exhibitor and hotel database. Starting with a world map for international attendees to localise where the city of the event is, it drills down through various scales of country and city maps to the venue‘s floor plan. This works before and after the event, as web visitors and search engines frequent it year round. With their visitor or exhibitor pack, the attendees receive a printed map of the city and the venue floor plan. On site friendly staff at several counters great guests, answer questions, and help them find their business partners on big screen floor plans.
The system was introduced at the Media and Marketing Show Dubai, and response on-site from visitors to our three staffed desks at the Dubai International Exhibition & Convention Center was overwhelming.
Guests, exhibitors, event organisers and the hosting city all benefit from ExIS.
